These organically grown bitter apricot kernels have a very strong bitter taste which indicates high levels of amygdalin, a substance which is converted to cyanide by the body and may cause symptoms of poisoning if consumed. Note: Health Canada does not consider raw and unprocessed bitter apricot kernels to be safe for human consumption. 

Always work with a licensed healthcare practitioner when using herbal products.  Health Canada suggests adults consume no more than 3 kernels a day and to mix them with other food. Children and pregnant women should avoid bitter apricot kernels.
